According to the Racine City Journal Times ETSU has signed Jalen Riley, a 6-1 guard out of Sauk Valley Community College. Riley began his collegiate career at the College of Lake County before moving on to Sauk Valley Community College, where he earned National Junior College Athletic Association All-American honors

“We’re really excited about getting Jalen,” said East Tennessee State coach Murry Bartow, the son of former UCLA coach Gene Bartow. “Jalen has some versatility to his game. He can score and he can do it from either guard spot.”

“We don’t make any promises or guarantees (to a recruit), but we never recruit a junior college player unless we think he can come in and play and be part of the rotation,” Bartow said. “We’re looking forward to Jalen helping us a lot.” – From The Journal Times

Riley, who also considered Ball State and Northern Illinois, among others, is expected to make an immediate impact for ETSU. The Bucs still another spot to fill this offseason.

Welcome to ETSU Jalen!
